Cat Ears Pattern #2 for Costumes

To make Cat Ears:

1. Print this page.
2. Determine the size in inches that you want the ears to be from top to bottom as shown in the below diagram with a tape measure.
3. Divide the size by 4. This will be the size in inches of each grid square.
4. Mark the grid intersections on the underside of your cloth. Each intersection should be spaced by the amount determined in step 3.
5. Connect the grid dots with a yardstick, and draw the ear shape onto your grid.
6. Cut 2 in felt (inside of ears).
7. Cut 2 in fur fabric.
8. Sew felt and fur together for each ear.
9. Sew ears to velvet headband.

As an example, if you want your ear to measure 5 inches then 5/4 = 1.25 so the grid lines should be 1 1/4 " apart.
